Logistics Specialist
Jonathan Weststeyn joined the California Veterinary Emergency Team (CVET) as a Logistics Specialist. Jonathan completed his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Fresno in dairy science with a focus on production management in 2015. He comes from a dairy family background, running a 2,000-cow dairy cattle facility, and has farmed numerous types of different crops. In that time on the dairy, Jonathan acquired skills in facility maintenance, in areas including plumbing as well as electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Additionally, Jonathan acquired his Class A license in 2015 for heavy-haul transportation. In 2020, Jonathan began working for an equine facility supporting over 150 horses. That same year, he picked up beekeeping and now has over 50 colonies for honey production and pollination purposes.
One of Jonathan’s life passions and the most rewarding thing to him is to keep helping and working around animals and livestock. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys his bees and exploring different parts of California.
