CVET and partners have developed a variety of resources to support animal disaster response operations that are included below. It is vital that your response operations are documented and organized as disasters can be overwhelming! These resources are meant to guide you in your operation, ensure you are meeting the basic needs of the animals, and provide data to support your request for assistance, if needed.
We encourage all county animal services, humane societies, community animal response teams (CARTs), local volunteer veterinarians, and other animal disaster response organizations to review the available resources and utilize them as necessary for their own operations. The documents are provided in both word and pdf versions, and we encourage downloading and modification as needed to fit any specific organizational needs!
In reviewing the available resources, if there are additional response documents that would be beneficial for your operations, or you have suggested edits to the current documents, please contact us!
